Parents

As a parent, I am deeply concerned about these issues, but what can I do?

Parents recognize the vital importance of sustainability for a healthy future for our children. They know that children can and want to play a part in protecting our natural resources. At Sound Footprint, we want to help parents promote sustainability at home and in schools. We offer guidance to parents so they can make positive changes and be models of environmental responsibility.

For parents striving for sustainability at home, we recommend SIX KEY STEPS.

Sound Footprint also offers workshops and resources to educate and engage parents.

Sound Footprint inspired our parents to seek a sustainable use of resources at the French American School of Puget Sound. With advice from Sound Footprint we launched programs to reduce, reuse and recycle, particularly by encouraging zero-waste lunches and composting. With their support, we've motivated students, parents and teachers to work together to take care of our planet in our school, in our homes, in our communities."
